Helping Families Find Freedom

FreedomKids is part of the family ministries of Freedom Church. Our goal is to help children and their families find freedom together!

The main offering of FreedomKids is during the Sunday morning 10:30am service. Programming is provided for infants through 4th grade by trained and screened volunteers. In addition to normal Sunday morning programming, different events on Sundays and throughout the week may be offered as well. From time-to-time kids will sing in our services, we’ll have parties, and special seasonal programs and events.

Sundays with FreedomKids

FreedomKids typically meets in the following classes:

•Nursey (infant through 3 years)
•PreK-1st grade
•2nd-4th grade

From time to time there may be some fluidity or combination of classes due to size dynamics, special events etc. and any changes will be made to ensure your child has the best possible experience.

Each classroom has 1-2 adult teachers, along with additional trained assistants as needed.

After check-in, children will gather in the children’s ministry area with their teacher until the beginning of the worship service. After the start of the service, PreK-4th grade classes will go as a group to the main worship service to participate in the first part of the service. The children will be dismissed from the main service to go back to the children’s area with their teachers during the teaching time.

*On months having a 5th Sunday, all children will be upstairs for the entirety of the service to participate in a family-style service together with their families.
Welcome Kids!

Meet Jill (and Paul) Savaet

“Hi! My name is Jill Savaet and I have been married for 14  years to Paul and we have 4 children. I am a registered MRI technologist and X-ray tech by trade and have worked in the healthcare field since 2006. I have attended Freedom Church since 2006 and have worked in children’s ministry in multiple areas for 12+ years. To me Children’s ministry is so important! I want my children raised to know Jesus as their best friend and someone they can always rely on and I want the same for your children as well!
The children are the future of the church and my goal is for them to learn, engage with one another, and be all that God created them to be.”

Check In/Check Out Procedure

Every child is required to be checked in by a parent/guardian each time they participate in FreedomKids. The doors to the FreedomKids ministry area will open at 10:15am, and children may be checked in from that point forward for the service.

First time guests can be checked in at the children’s welcome center by a check-in volunteer. A form with needed information will be presented to be filled out and signed.

Returning FreedomKids participants can check in on the tablet in the children’s welcome center area.

After checking in, each child will receive a name tag to be worn with a corresponding security sticker for the parent/guardian to keep with them. The checked-in child will then be welcomed into the FreedomKids ministry area to gather with their class.

When it is time for a child to be picked up from FreedomKids ministry, each parent/guardian will present their portion of the security sticker received at check-in. No adult can pick up a child without the corresponding security sticker or without direct consent and supervision of the FreedomKids ministry director.
